Ugh. I am sorry. I have been a bit spoiled by having multiple business
class ISPs and BGP with our own provider independent address space at
work, and a relatively small but highly competent ISP at home who has
been very willing to work with me on strange projects (we even talked
about setting up a BGP session at home!) for the last few years.
I have had to be very persistent and perhaps a bit obnoxious with some
of our providers in the past to get things like this sorted. One ISP in
the past said, "No one is asking for IPv6." I asked how they were
tracking that, and he didn't have an answer. I kept asking to be
escalated to their manager (and their manager's manager) and calling
back until I got what I needed. I may have created enough tickets that
some reporting feature finally determined that "People appear to be
asking for IPv6".
It may be worth contacting Matteo directly if you haven't already. I
find bypassing the normal support channels and contacting WHOIS contacts
directly works about 25% of the time, but that is better than 0%.
Good luck,
Adam
