I've been running cyrus imapd on ubuntu since ages, using thunderbird clien= ts (on windows), moving incoming pop3 messages (local) from the mbox onto t= he imap server. Now, apparently since last december, I get an error message saying, the com= mand failed because the message contains invalid headers. I did an upgrade = some time ago, could hgave been in december, but honestly I don't remember.= Now I'm running 3.4.3 (ubuntu jammy) I've figured this would be a ">From " line in the headers. Manually deletin= g these fixes the problem. However I checked and this line was in all messages before december as well= , causing no issues. So I think, this must be something in the upgraded cyrus imapd version, tha= t wasn't there before and it accepted the ">From " headers. But I don't find an option in cyrus to ignore these headers or anything. I'= m not even sure what's the proper header, isn't it "From: "? Anyway, I'm confused what's causing this or how to fix. Apparently not a Th= underbird issue as it was doing it since many years. Any help, please? ------------------------------------------ Cyrus: Info Permalink: https://cyrus.topicbox.com/groups/info/T021599b61fe954a7-M93e640= 5714805fb58f73c9fd Delivery options: https://cyrus.topicbox.com/groups/info/subscription --17798991661.7cbA3.1040 Date: Wed, 27 May 2026 12:26:06 -0400 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE html> <html><html><html><body><div>Hello,<br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I need= some help please.<br /></div><div>I've been running cyrus imapd on ubu= ntu since ages, using thunderbird clients (on windows), moving incoming pop= 3 messages (local) from the mbox onto the imap server.<br /></div><div>Now,= apparently since last december, I get an error message saying, the command= failed because the message contains invalid headers.
