Hello Marco,

as far as I know most MUAs do not create Special-Use flags on mailboxes=20
by default. For example Thunderbird seems to detect "special" mailboxes=20
by checking if there names correspond to the "defaults" from the RFCs -=20
e.g. Trash, Sent, Templates, Drafts ...

Other Clients like SOGo Webmail have a config option, where you can=20
state which foldernames get assigned the "Trash" role, the "Sent" role=20
etc.

As stated by Jean, you can either script the assignment of special use=20
flags, but cyrus also supports automatic assignment on creation, the=20
following would do that in /etc/imapd.conf (the xlist-*) directives.=20
Pleas note: these directives only pertain to initial user login! If you=20
want to add special-use flags for existing users you would have to take=20
the "manual" route (i.e. script it with cyradm)


autocreate_inbox_folders: Junk | Trash | Archive | Sent | Drafts
autocreate_subscribe_folders: Junk | Trash | Archive | Sent | Drafts
xlist-archive: Archive
xlist-trash: Trash
xlist-junk: Junk
