Ilo,

Turn on debugging in courier-pop3d by setting:

DEBUG_LOGIN=2

in /usr/lib/courier-imap/etc/pop3d (your location may be different).

You should see messages such as the following in your mail log:

/var/log/maillog.2:Jun 14 22:49:56 host authdaemond.ldap: received auth
request, service=imap, authtype=login
/var/log/maillog.2:Jun 14 22:49:56 host authdaemond.ldap: authldap:
trying this module
/var/log/maillog.2:Jun 14 22:49:56 host authdaemond.ldap: selected ldap
protocol version 3
/var/log/maillog.2:Jun 14 22:49:56 host authdaemond.ldap: binding to
LDAP server as DN 'cn=root,dc=domain,dc=com', password 'abcdefg'
/var/log/maillog.2:Jun 14 22:49:56 host authdaemond.ldap: using search
filter:
(&(objectClass=JammMailAccount)(accountActive=TRUE)(delete=FALSE)(mail=u
[email protected]))
/var/log/maillog.2:Jun 14 22:49:56 host authdaemond.ldap: one entry
returned, DN:
[email protected],jvd=domain.com,o=hosting,dc=domain,dc=com

Let me know if you have any questions.

Yash
