THanks to all on this subject.

It's now working fine under SuSE 9.1 for me too.

The next step is now cyrus.
Will post a how-to if I ever get it working.

Good tip, Rob!  If that will work in 2.x as well, I'll update the
documentation.  If not, I'll update the documentation to have a note
for 2.2.
