An unknown error has occured!

I've just setup jamm for the first time and I'm unable to login.  I'm 
getting the following error in my browser:

 JAMM Error Page

An unknown error has occured!
Please contact the system administrator

We're sorry for the inconvience. Please try again later.


I've looked through my log files and can't find any lines that seem to 
be connected to this error.  Does (or Can) Jamm have it's own log file?

Assuming everything is setup correctly is this the same error message 
you would see if supplying an invalid username/password?
