Thanks, I'm trying to keep things simple and avoid using a temporary cache so think I'll fall back on the mailsession_remove_message method for now. Look forward to seeing a generic mailfolder_expunge in the next release :) David Gal -----Original Message----- From: libetpan-users-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org [mailto:libetpan-users-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of DINH Viet Hoa Sent: Wednesday 27 April 2005 14:09 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Libetpan-users] POP3: Deleting a message David Gal wrote : > What's the preferred method for deleting a message in a mail folder. > I've got a POP3 connection and from what I can see, the > mailfolder_expunge method isn't supported by the POP3 driver and the > documentation says that use of the mailsession_remove_session method is deprecated. You can use the cached driver that implements the expunge for the POP3 driver (however, you have to work with a temporary cache). What you noticed make me think that it will be interesting (and it is technically possible) to implement the expunge in the non-cached driver. You can enable the cache by setting the flag to '1' when creating the storage and by setting a directory for the flags and an other directory for the cache. -- DINH V.
