"No handler found for image type" while retrieving HTML email

Anyone know what would be causing the message "No handler found for image type" while retrieving mail that is written in HTML? It takes it about 10 seconds or so to display, but the email actually seems to all be there. I'm using current CVS version, without python support (swig errors). I've tried to undo the image inlining option, but it doesnt' seem to matter. Any thoughts?
