owner-group getting emails

What would cause the owner of groups (me) to get emails to the group?

Situation: Mail server crashed; re-installed on new server. after getting 
DNS working, things are much happier, but little things are amiss, like 
the subject line. I don't know how busy the groups are, but it seems some 
are putting email to owner-groupname in my inbox...
