I use the same filters I do on the rest of my mail, a bunch of 
conservative DNSBLs at the front door, sbl-xbl and some of the paid MAPS 
ones, and spamassassin.

I avoid viruses via an SMTP server feature that rejects any mail that 
contains a MIME part that starts with the base64 version of a Windows EXE 
header.  I would imagine it wouldn't be too hard to set up some default 
mj2 attachment rules to accomplish the same thing.
