"Marc G. Fournier" <[email protected]> spaketh thusly on Wed, 07 Feb 2007 18:49:02 -0400 about Re: Had Mj2 Development stalled ... ?... > Does anyone on this list have 'web design abilities'?? If we are going to > "market" this, we need two things: > > 1. a proper, professional looking web site > 2. a proper release of v1.0 *bing!* I'll be tilting at this windmill called Majordomo again soon. What is high on my list regarding a 1.0 release is abstracting and simplifying the complexity and featureset of mj2 a bit for users and list admins. It's daunting. I'd like to see a better web interface, although I don't know what that would be just yet -- most users will be interacting via the web, hence their first impression should be favorable. Some sort of 'wizards' may prove useful here. The help documentation is verbose and complete in many areas, but overwhelming as well. Virtual domains need a bit more explanation, last I checked. There's more, but I'm fragmented a bit, just getting back from some offline vacation time. Let's hear from others, especially those running production mj2 sites! --Chan "It ought to be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things." -- Machiavelli.
