Exim has a local_part_suffix setting that allows e-mail to be separated 
based upon the suffix (e.g., for the purpose of maintaining statistics 
for delivery failures).  Does it seem unreasonable to you to strip the 
suffix from the local part of the address before greylisting/validating 
that address?
