Hi, I've been using mj2 for at least 8 years now, and I've briefly explored but never dealt with the question of importing old archives from mj1.94 lists. Looking through documentation, I see the "put" command, which takes a "here" document. Is there a more efficent way to upload/import hundreds of monthly mbox archive files? For example, can they be manually copied into the filesystem under that list's archives directory, then run a command to get it to massage and index them? In the filesystem, there is a "files" directory for each list, and in that, "public" directory containing a "archive" directory containing all the mbox format files and ".archive" file which presumably contains the description of "archive". In "archive" are monthly mbox files as expected and a ".index" directory containing "C<file>" and "I<file>.T" files that appear to contain descriptions of number of lines, number of messages, then header indexes. Thanks! slainte mhath, RGB -- Richard Guy Briggs -- ~\ -- ~\ <hpv.tricolour.net> <www.TriColour.net> -- \___ o \@ @ Ride yer bike!
