Answering my own question (with thanks to the 2 other respondents). I used the IMAPlog to see which was the LAST message logged. This is the bad messsage. I 'moved' this in Gmail to a temporary folder and suddenly I can collect IMAP mail using Mulberry. Note that my Samsung K9 mail client never had an issue with the Gmail inbox folder. So this must be a Mulberry bug. Happy to assist in tracking it down, providing logs etc Raza
