Again - just making claims like this without substantiation isn't very useful. Details would be appreciated... 1. In what way is it 'clumsy' (compared to Mulberry)? 2. Slow? Haven't noticed it - unless you mean after initially adding a new IMAP account with a lot of folders and emails? In that case, yes, until it finishes syncing all of that email, it will be slow. Work is being done to put a lot more of that process in the background, but for now, it is just recommended to let it finish syncing without trying to use it much, or, do like I do, and disable offline mode for all but the folders you really want/need in offline mode. 3. Difficult to control - in what way? What do you mean by 'control'? > In the parts I use the most, e.g. the "reply" command or the "move to > some folder" operation, Thunderbird is terribly inflexible and makes > me long for Mulberry every time I process a message. Again - inflexible is a general term. In what *way* is it inflexible? What is it exactly that Mulberry does or allows you to do that TB doesn't? > The configuration for Thunderbird is so awful it makes me cringe. The basic configuration options are pretty much there for you to see and change. So, what, excatly, about 'the config for TB' is so awful? > After a year of exploring and reading documentation and searching the > web I still have not been able to figure out how to enlarge the size > of the font that Thunderbird uses to show me the messages in a > folder. Really? A full year? Did you bother asking on any of the TB support channels (mozillazine, or any of the TB specific support lists)? Maybe 'Tools > Options > Display > Advanced' is what you were looking for?
