I'd like to hear more too.  I haven't seen any complaints before the IRC=20
question, and I think that question was at least partly because of the=20
inconsistent mutt documentation.  So I'm not going to force this change.

But my understanding was that general expectations have changed.  vim=20
and emacs (without a configuration file) delete forwards, as does bash.=20
At least, for me they behave that way.

Jim and Claus, do you need to make changes to your systems to support=20
that backwards delete behavior elsewhere?
