Moving mail back to inbox

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way to move mail back to the inbox 
once you moved it out. In a previous post someone suggested creating a 
link named Inbox that points to the /var/spool/mail/username. However, 
even after trying that option and others it didn't work. Any 
suggestions?
