As neomail comes out the box expecting to find unix/linux/bsd style local
mail spools - are you sure you even want neomail?

"WHAT IS NEOMAIL?
NeoMail is a web-based e-mail client that can be installed on any UNIX mail
server that is also running a web server."

Without these mail spools you'll struggle to get it working with windows -
even WITH the DB module, what mail spools are you going to point it at?
Unless you've mounted some NFS Export or SMB share with them in of course..

Phillip Baker

Subject: [Neomail-users] Berkeley DB Problem.... newbie...

I'm running a Win2k iis w/ ActiveState ActivePerl v5.8 and trying to install
a web-based email script called NeoMail (http://neomail.sourceforge.net/) on
my server but i get the following error when i run the installation file
(setup.pl)....

Checking for installation of Berkeley DB or GNU Capabilities...
No DBM Package was succesfully found or installed at
C:/Perl/lib/AnyDBM_File.pm line 15.
Compilation failed in require at D:/HTTP Root/mail/setup.pl line 40.

I found this about Berkeley DB: http://www.sleepycat.com/download.html but
it needs to be compiled and i can't figure out how to install it... can
someone help me please..??

Thanks in advance...
