revisiting insecure dependency with perl 5.8.0

I have th same problem, new install on RH8.0.

I have tried to use the patch from Jonathan Miller but I get this:



[root@localhost neomail-1.25]# patch < neomail.pl.patch
patching file neomail.pl
patch: **** malformed patch at line 7: use strict;



Can anyone help me?
