So i would do the following:
1. backup /home/neomail/users/blahblah/
2. rm -v /home/neomail/users/blahblah/*.db
3. cp -v /old_disk/home/neomail/users/blahblah/*.folder
/home/neomail/users/blahblah/

For traditional sendmail or exim mail spool files you can do
cp /var/spool/mail/blahblah
/home/neomail/users/blahblah/NEWFOLDER.folder

As i don't know the IMAP file format, i don't know, if this helps
with IMAP too.

After the copying, look at the permissions and ownership of the
/home/neomail/users/blahblah/*.folder files. They should match
i.e. the TRASH file.

Now login to neomail.

The db files should be regenerated by neomail and the
new foldernames should be visible.
