Possibly your POP3 server has changed the AUTH model.
Like already noted by Tod this is mostly not a neomail problem.
It seems more a problem with the POP3 Server and/or the SMTP
server.

So start looking in your maillogs to isolate the problem (POP3 or
SMTP Auth)
