read-messages weirdness

Hi,

I just setup my own mailserver at my house, and ever since I set pine up to
work wih it, I am experiencing the strangest thing:

9 out of 10 emails I read do not get copied to the read-messages folder-- and
they are not marked automatically for deletion, yet my .pinerc file is exactly
as it was before (as far as the general config settings go). The line:

read-message-folder= is properly defined to where it should be...

I checked today, I read a ton of emails, and none of them appeared in
read-messages, but then at another point, I read another email and it did copy
over.. So I am completely confused what this means, why it's happening and how
I can correct it.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

on a side note, I also find that occasionally even though my pine is set to
sort by date, I will have something like:

apr 7
apr 8
apr 9
mar 20
apr 10
apr 11

etc...

I don't understand why this is happening to me either.

THanks for your time.
