*** Rick Gaine ([email protected]) wrote in the pine-info list...: :) The question is that when pine opens on the clients there is a delay :) before prompting for username/password. Some type message comes up :) about an rsh connection failing. We aren't allowing rsh to this :) system. Is there a way to eliminate this so the users do not have to :) experience a time delay? You can set rsh-open-timeout=0 in the .pinerc file to disable rsh. You can add that to a global pine.conf file. This will disable rsh with every connection. If this is not what you want, you can disable rsh by adding "/norsh" to the definition of the server, e.g. {server.name/norsh/ssl}INBOX I hope this helps you. -- Eduardo Patches/Help: http://www.math.washington.edu/~chappa/pine/ XML/RSS feed: http://www.math.washington.edu/~chappa/pine/pine.xml Please send spam to webmaster@localhost _______________________________________________ Pine-info mailing list [email protected] http://mailman1.u.washington.edu/mailman/listinfo/pine-info
