I also use it, and have just one major problem - my name, which I set in
config as "personal-name = Kolbjørn Barmen" gets encoded twice before
inserted to heading (as you can see in this very mail, where I have left
it unchanged for the purpose of demontration) - I think might be related
to me having my pine-config stored on IMAP. However, I do not need to
alter names that I get out from LDAP :)

I second that. Not that we have so many weird chars in Norwegian, but I
also sometimes correspond with cyrillic and having access to greek letters
is also very usefull.

People still use xterm? :)
There's also a menu entry for UTF-8 in xterm, and I guess you can store
the setting as an X resource.

Personally I use KDE and Konsole and can switch between charsets on the
fly, allthought as of lately (since zsh got somewhat working support) I
have only used UTF-8 in terminals as well.
