  Hello,
  Iam using pine program on Linux for mail. I have added the following
  .pinerc and in /etc/pine.conf file to read the German special Characters
  (Ex : Ü)

   ~/.pinerc

  character-set=ISO-8859-1

  /etc/pine.conf

   character-set=ISO-8859-1

   Iam not seeing the character correctly. How can I see the character correctly interpreted on the screen?

$cat /etc/issue
Scientific Linux SL release 3.0.5 (SL)

$ uname -a
