I enable 6 dead-letter files in setup-config, & access those files via the editor now. I guess maybe the other responses were alluding to that. I was looking for another way to recover. So now I just compose new; then do a (^R)ead File for the dead-letter-file in the directory as I need. That works without a real problem. Just a little more effort - a cleanup, delete old header, cut & paste the subject. A wish list item though.
