I have migrated, so to speak, an exmh MUA setup to pine.

It works pretty good. One eensie weensie little problem: pine doesn't
always seem able to display the newest messages in my inbox.

I know they're there; my log says there're there; I can see them
there; but pine refuses to list them, even resists a ^L executed to
that end. The only thing that works is to shut down pine and then
start it up again, at which point all messages appear.

Gruesome details:

Pine is v. 4.64. This is i386 Debian etch, just graduated from
testing. I have tried writing messages to my inbox -- with procmail --
using both rcvstore from mh, and the simple /. syntax of procmail.
Behavior is identical in each case.

I cannot decipher if there is something peculiar about the messages
that pine chokes on.

Best regards,

No no no, my fish's name is Eric, Eric the fish. He's an halibut. I am
not a looney! Why should I be tarred with the epithet looney merely
because I have a pet halibut?
