Rick,

He's not saying that you need a local IMAP server. The below works with a
connection to *any* standard IMAP server (remote or running on your system
or otherwise).

In OE, simply setup another connection to this account via IMAP (if you
have not already), using the "Tools" menu to open "Accounts."

Once you've done that, you'll see it appear in the "Folders" list under
the Local Folders hierarchy of folders.

Then, simply select (one or multiple) and drag-and-drop the mail from
Local Folders to the IMAP connections folders. OE will move/copy them
them to the remote IMAP server from your local system. This works the
other way around as well.

If you open PINE on yoru remote server, you'll see the copied/moved
messages in PINE again.
NOTE: If you have PINE sorting by arrival, be sure to copy emails in
the order you want them to appear in PINE. Try a few and if you don't
like the order they appear in PINE, you can re-sort and/or try copying in
order from Local Folders to the IMAP folders.

FYI,
-Matt
