Hi.

We have strange letters here. (æøåÆØÅ).

I have a user that tries to send to a domain containing one of these
letters.

In the log I see:

root@mail:~# grep -rni 3E0D010E0084 /var/log/mail.log.1
15895:2026-06-27T09:47:30.255687+02:00 mail
postfix/submission/smtpd[382886]: 3E0D010E0084:
client=unknown[185.108.102.149], sasl_method=PLAIN,
[email protected]
15896:2026-06-27T09:47:30.353382+02:00 mail postfix/cleanup[382896]:
3E0D010E0084: message-id=<[email protected]>
15897:2026-06-27T09:47:30.609117+02:00 mail postfix/qmgr[353848]:
3E0D010E0084: from=<[email protected]>, size=797, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
15899:2026-06-27T09:47:31.121699+02:00 mail postfix/smtp[382900]:
3E0D010E0084: to=<stefan@vestskovsløbet.dk>,
relay=mx.simply.com[94.231.106.20]:25, delay=0.88,
delays=0.46/0.1/0.32/0, dsn=5.6.7, status=bounced (SMTPUTF8 is required,
but was not offered by host mx.simply.com[94.231.106.20])
15901:2026-06-27T09:47:31.165355+02:00 mail postfix/bounce[382903]:
3E0D010E0084: sender non-delivery notification: 1F0CB10E0218
15903:2026-06-27T09:47:31.171322+02:00 mail postfix/qmgr[353848]:
3E0D010E0084: removed

Two questions...

1) Any way to solve this? (Without being unwise)
Or is it the receiving server that have issues?

2) My user claims not getting a bounce, can I see if this is correct?

I found this:
root@mail:~# grep -rni 1F0CB10E0218  /var/log/mail.log.1
