Enhancement suggestion

I would like to make this request for enhancement that doesn't appear in the
to-do list, and I really really wish Procmail supported.

I am trying to find and program some kind of web controls interface for
Procmail settings. It seems to me and my liimited abilities almost
impossible because Procmail doesn't use a "normal" config file syntax. I am
having some success, but because I'm the only person tweaking the files. We
have several admin's that will be doing this, and using a unified interface
is critical.

If at any time you could start to integrate some keyword=value options for
your recipe's, it would make life a lot simpler, and much easier to
implement many ideas in Procmail recipes.

We use Procmail in addition to Spamassassin. If I just had some way to turn
on and off certain options, that would be great, but since there's no easy
way to identify a particular action, it's practically impossible to do with
regular, expected results.

What I would like to see is something like...

Begin
enable=yes/no
desc="optional parsable description field"
option= :0fw
regex= * ^From: blah...
action=
End

When programming CGI's, it's practically impossible to find a regex for a
test in a procmail file, especially when there's more than one way to do
things with regular expressions.

Enabling and disabling recipes requires complex file manipulation to remove
lines when a simple enable disable switch can be used.

Since Procmail is so versatile, I'm sure I haven't even understood half of
what the capabilities are, and there's probably a lot of very good reasons
why Procmail doesn't already have this functionality.

I'm interested in knowing these "secrets" if that's the case. I think if the
recipe file was more script friendly, there would be a LOT of people really
happy about that. not just me ;-)
