Errors: previously applied patch detected

I am in the process of finishing of a new install of qmail but I am having difficulty with patching qmail-scanner with the ST patch. When I run the patch command it is telling me "Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n]" I have searched high and low and cannot determine what the problem could be. Does the latest version of qmail-scanner already have this patch incorporated? Also are there any other must have patches for qmail-scanner???
