It was my stupidity. I forgot it's not TLS any longer, but SSL and therefore
there is need to establish stunnel connection.

I emerger 'good-old' stunnel-3.26 (in the past had problems with 4.x - does it
work now?) and now everything is fine.

No need for cursing Gentoo guys ;)
