using ASK with database mail accounts

Hello. Is it possible to use ASK from a database mail account? Currently 
I have my own Linux server which handles all incoming mail. I have 
postfix as my mta, mutt as my mua and procmail as my filtering agent. 
Postfix sends the mail to procmail, and etc, I get my mail filtered 
through ask. Right now I am hosting 4 domains and the users is slowly 
growing. Right now I have no problems adding accounts to each user and 
setting up virtual aliases with my postfix virtual aliases 
configuration. I've been reading however that things can be better 
managed if instead of adding accounts I use a database system like 
postgres or mysql. So my question is how can ask work on account such as 
this? On the surface it seems it would not be able to but I thought I'd 
ask to be sure.

Not all of my users would be interested in using ask much to their risk 
<smile>. So I figured if only a few want to use it (me included) I could 
always keep the user account on the system and setup fetchmail to grab 
mail from localhost and pipe it to procmail, then users grabbing mail 
remotely could grab it using their user account name instead of the 
virtual username.
