I have used ASK for a long time without any problem until today when our sysadmin used our mail server to demostrate hacking to some students with some unfortunate side effects. I wondered if there might be a better error handling system - the error bounced all my emails and I lost around 30 before the problem was caught. Would it be possible to dump copies of all bounces into a directory and then bounce? perhaps copying the email to a local space first or catching errors and implementing a failsafe? Essentially ASK crashed and the .forward just replied with the contents of the crash log.
