Thanks for the incredibly informative response, Ger.
You know, it's interesting -- I started using CRM114 a long time ago when
Crash announced on a social mailing list he'd come up with it. It was
incredibly effective and, more importantly, easy to use. That was a
winning combination.
When dealing with my personal email, I tend to try to actually mostly act
like a user rather than a geek, and I just don't have the time these days
to start mucking around with my spam filter to make it work appropriately.
I'm saddened to see that CRM114 has not gotten simpler or more predictably
easy to use, update, and maintain :(.
At this point, given that after the recent upgrade I'm seeing large spam
volumes and retraining is now significantly impaired, I'm worried I may
need to abandon CRM114 in favor of something else that will work without me
pathing the source. What are the odds that this will be fixable via a
standard system update ('yum update...') anytime soon?
