Paul,

The IP Address you have in your lists belongs to a range of IP's (RIPE), assigned to us (ISP - PT PRIME). The IP in question was assigned to this customer via ADSL connection, therefore if you check the IP you will see that there is no mail server there.

This customer of ours has no mail server, and we can't change the reverse the reverse. If you send an e-mail to [email protected] it works.

The original message was received at Tue, 6 Sep 2005 16:30:39 +0100 (PST) from [144.64.197.17]

----- The following addresses had successful delivery notifications ----- <[email protected]> (relayed to non-DSN-aware mailer)

----- Transcript of session follows ----- <[email protected]>... relayed; expect no further notifications

So.... the problem is that this IP is assigned to our customer and the e-mail address you are trying to see doesn't belongs to that IP (62.48.149.231), what can there be done to solve this problem?

Cumprimentos,

Henrique Simal

I understand the flow perfectly. You're not understanding the removal
system.

Reverse DNS for 62.48.149.231 currently points to
adsl-62-48-149-231.ptprime.net. This would suggest possible contact
addresses for the administrator of this machine being postmaster or
abuse at either adsl-62-48-149-231.ptprime.net (customer) or ptprime.net
(ISP). Now you've already said that the customer does not have a mail
server so clearly no addresses @adsl-62-48-149-231.ptprime.net are going
to work. However, there are also no working mail servers for the
ptprime.net domain (at least none that I can connect to), which means
that there is no working contact address for anyone associated with this
IP. Having a working contact address is the thing you need to be removed
from DSBL.

So, you need to either get the mail server for the ptprime.net working
so that you can read emails sent to postmaster or abuse at that domain,
or you need to change reverse DNS for 62.48.149.231 to use a domain for
which there *is* a working postmaster or abuse contact address. Only
then can this IP be removed from DSBL (and that is by using the removal
system on the DSBL website).
