Encoded by whom ? Sorry Benny but what do you mean exactly in this 
sentence ?
With UTF8 when a caracter is above 127 (ASCII) it takes 2 or more bytes 
to encode it.
That's all I know about it.

Ok, so it's too bad that this is not clearly stated in the official 
README as it would have saved me a lot of work ! :/
