There are plenty of free mail services and lots of pay-for mail services which are very good, if your ISPs mail service does not fit you. There is no need to run your own mail server, if you want/need to, get a static IP. Then its your problem to get delisted from the DSBL.

To answer/comment your points:
1) How he knows?
2) of course not. Why should it? What has your mail content with your IP address to do?
3) Most RBLs are wrong in one way or another.

The main problem here is that almost all anti-spam solutions first check the IP address and then the contents. Natural, given that the IP is the first thing the mail server knows about the client. It is a major problem to receive the whole mail, just to decide later on that the mail is to be rejected because of a blacklisted IP.
So if your IP is blacklisted (and often even static IPs from large organizations get blacklisted) you are out. Point. Use a regular mail service.

Cheers
<x-sigsep>
</x-sigsep> Andreas Saurwein, CTO

Uniwares - Information Security Systems
Phone: +55 61 329-6192
Fax: +55 61 346-1977
www.uniwares.com / www.uniwares.com.br

--===============0022657254== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ Technical-discussion mailing list [email protected] http://habeas.com/mailman/listinfo/technical-discussion --===============0022657254==--
