| And there were laws about your medical records being private, but your
| employer can get hold of them if they want...

I've been handed copies of the medical records of my 'reports to' on more
than a few occasions.

| Can you imagine, in this corporate-friendly environment, how soon it will
| be before your employer can get hold of your phone records as well? What
| if they find out things that are private, such as the call to a head
| hunter, or the calls to your mistress, or whatever else you want to keep
| private?

They can currently and have in the past. We had a director that paid a PI to
install bugs in the homes and on private phones of our division technical
troops. Bad move as these folk were paid to hack (reverse engineer) our
competitors systems.
