Hi Mike,

I don't really know any specifics of the software so I can't answer that
question.  I have been told that the only way we could implement this type
of procedure easily is to have the person processing the profiles manually
send a confirmation email first before subscribing the person.  At this
point in time, that's being frowned on since we only have all volunteers
and no one is paid to do this work.  Putting extra work on volunteers
doesn't always fly well, I'm afraid.  There are a couple of us who like the
idea, but we'll see what the overall consensus of the admin group is.
