Comparing to Google

A couple of months ago I lost my hard drive, and when I rebuilt my system
I decided not to reinstall spamprobe et al because all the local spam filtering
had been keeping a high load average on my system for some years now (mainly
because I was also collecting junk mail for about 2000 dead addresses as
training data).  So now what I do is immediately turn all incoming mail around
to a Google mailbox, and Google forwards the spam-filtered mail back to me.

I've been doing this for nearly a month now, long enough to compare against
the spamprobe setup I had before.

Result: Spamprobe (and associated programs that I used to use) - great,
Google - crap.  I've gone from barely any spam at all to a dozen spam or more
per day.   Conclusion, time to reinstall spamprobe (but just for me this time,
not with the 2000+ accounts going through the whole filter chain...)

Shame, I really hoped that Google would have done all the hard work for me.
I wonder if they could use an anti-spam programmer...
