Yes when you run SP with a read-only command SP opens the database in 
read only mode which prevents it from creating a new one if none is 
present.  I should add a "create" command I guess although I always just 
created the initial database by jumping right in with spam, good, 
train-spam, or train-good on a mailbox file.
