I'm reposting to the SRS list:

But, I'm not really clear if that's *the* recommend solution for
rewriting.  I need more time to grok the concepts -- is there an up to
date primer around anyplace?

Just so I'm clear:

I currently forward mail.  Does that mean that right now if someone
sends mail from, say, AOL (that publishes SPF) to an address I host
and I forward that mail on to a host that verifies SPF records that the
mail will be rejected?

BTW -- when forwarding can rewriting of the sender be skipped if the
sender's domain doesn't publish SPF txt record?
