Not any given MAIL FROM:.  I never said that.  What I said is that 
you can interpret the domain part in MAIL FROM: but you cannot 
interpret the local part of the address in MAIL FROM:.  What will it 
take to stop the equivocation?  I suppose it would be easier for your 
argument if I actually said that, but I didn't.

RFC 2821 section 2.3.10 Mailbox and Address:

>The standard mailbox naming convention is defined to be
>"local-part@domain": contemporary usage permits a much broader set of
>applications than simple "user names".  Consequently, and due to a

The local-part MUST be interpreted and assigned semantics only by the 
host specified in the domain part!!!!!!
