The confirm mail does not show the variables' values

I have now come so far that I receive a confirmation mail, but all the 
variables are sent as variables, not as values. I can't see anything in the 
logfiles. Even FULLNAME which is defined in ~/.tmda/config is empty.

Any ideas?

When I installed, I put tmda in /usr/local/src and made softlinks to all files 
in bin.  Maildrop forwards to virtualusers:
