I suspect you have some kind of typo/syntax-error on this line in the
template file. I see that most places where the variable hasn't been
substituted have the % character there still as expected, but the
recipient_address doesn't have this. Perhaps somewhere on this line you
have mismatched brackets, a missing % sign, a missing type character (s:
string etc.) after the closing bracket, or something like that....
