Yes, thanks for the pointer!

It isn't completely clear (to me) what version the snapshots are for though.
And some people might be scared to install anything that's got the slightest
hint of "nightly"... ;-)

I don't know it that's feasible, but it would be neat for the "end-user" to
have a page with download options such as:

 Lang | old    | stable | testing         | bleeding      
 -----+--------+--------+-----------------+-----------------
  de  | 1.4.18 | 1.4.21 | 1.4.22-20100810 | 1.4.22-20100819
  fr  ...  
  all ...

Or, even better still, with an added link right there in the browser to help
translate some of the missing strings directly. :-) Then the person (or
team) responsible for that language would only have to double-check them.
