I haven't had this problem with other mail programs.  Eudora and Mozilla 
just did the right thing with the SSL settings, allowing me to use the 
SSL-protected SMTP server my ISP runs.  With Gnus, mutt, vm, etc., I've 
used stunnel to get through the SSL.  I didn't think I'd need that with 
Sylpheed, since it seems to know about SSL already.
