maia on suse leap 15.1

Hi folks,

My goal today was to achieve a working maia install on suse leap 15.1

It comes as no surprise that the perl parts all work perfectly and
configtest.pl is fine.

But I'm seeing weird errors with php and pear. The pear modules are
installed, pear list shows them, but configtest.php can't find them.

I'll keep chipping away at it, but thought I'd check to see if anyone on
the list has had any luck with maia on suse leap and php 7.x, or any words
of wisdom on that score  -
