Zoe forgetting what email's i've already read/downloaded...

I'm having a problem with Zoe. It seems that every time i restart my
computer (winxp home) my email client ('zilla email) tries to
re-download _all_ my emails from Zoe (31k). I'm not sure who is to blame
- the email client or zoe. What steps can i take to figure out what is
going on?
There doesn't seem to be any recent changes to my computer that would
account for this behaviour, other then adding a 3rd email account to Zoe.
Any suggestions would be great,thanks!
